First step down the coast

After a couple of quite rainy days in Pittwater practicing our maneuvers we finally left the sanctuary of Quays Marina and headed 30 miles south anchoring up in Port Hacking. The last couple of days the weather has been fantastic and spent our time walking into Cronulla to get provisions and do some chores as well as fitting in the odd swim. The picture shows Samurai in Pittwater the morning we left. Plan to do a bigger jump south in the next day or two.

  2. Hi guys, I hear you've reached JB safe and sound. Excellent news. It looks like you've had some great sailing weather recently. Look forward to hearing all about the adventures

  3. Hello girls,
Hope you're both well, sailing has been good but strong winds and bigger swell than I would choose to go out in but have to expect that. Archie isn't liking it and we have to give him dog seasickness tablets to keep him sleepy and calm poor thing. We are going to get to Eden and assess the situation as we might abandon the idea of going to Tassie. We both agree sailing down the coast is challenging and even the cruisers we met said this is the hardest sailing we'd do, they found it challenging and they sail all over the world. Also some of the bays and harbours are not deep enought for Samurai so getting fuel and water has been an issue but in saying that we don't want it too easy :)
